We Are Survivors By Tasfia Khan The fire burns, smoke in the air, The people weep, full of despair. Falling fast in the heavy drops of rain, No amount of water can wash out the pain. Some were lost, some were found, Only a few of us are safe and sound. Angry, neglected, they were left alone, No one knows the pain of losing a home. The crack in our hears we’ll have to seal, But don’t worry, with time we will heal. We are the survivors, so strong my friend, Together, I believe we can make it to the end! Inspired by Monera Takla’s ‘Beside The Fallen Ashes’, Yr. 8 student at Morpeth School, East London.
